J0283: It wasn't his usual load. These days, Jack mostly did dry van, but the heavy load and trailer was a chance to see if the vintage truck was still capable of real work, or if his dad shined the paint but hung onto an otherwise paper tiger. What was obvious was that the whole truck had been lovingly maintained, not just the appearance, but all the mechanical components.
