Jan 0244: What many didn't think of is that this was the only way to get to the big project to reopen Highway 1. Near Big Sur it was closed to truck traffic except for those going to or from the site, the oversize at times required he straddle the whole road and in narrow spots like this, the worry that a car may come around a bend was nerve-wracking.
