He was the owner of HMS in San Diego, and since I started my trucking company, we’d gotten to be good business partners and friends. He took care of my truck, and I took care of a lot of deliveries for him. When you’re a foreigner, it’s sometimes hard to make connections but Mike was someone who wanted to show there were plenty of decent people here.
