S0473. Once on the highway I set the cruise control and settled into my seat comfortably. The engine pulled all right. My old XF105-510 was more brisk but the CF85 had enough power for the loads it would carry. The cab was lower to the ground and that made cornering more comfortable; there was less leaning. And unlike my trip to Venice with the big Mercedes and trailer, the DAF’s small size and rigid configuration made it easy to pass other traffic.
