The only mods I made were for myself and very basic, texturing the truck and trailers. I didn't work on lights or leds...and I wish I could have time to do it. But I may suggest you this mod from Team Poland, http://ets2mods.org/2014/04/tuning-mod-by-moders-team-poland-1-9-x/, the SCS is not locked and I believe it can inspire you on your project. Not to mention different modders forums...
